Why the golf day exists

Four hours in a cart beside somebody who could become your next client, your outsourcing partner, or the person who buys your practice.

CIBA does not leave the pairings to chance. Your registration form asks what you are looking for and what you can offer, and the draw is built from it. No four colleagues from the same firm in one group unless you ask for it, and a mix of member, supplier, potential partner and senior guest wherever we can manage it.

Eight holes carry a sponsor activation, so there is something to do besides your handicap.

You do not need to play well. You need four uninterrupted hours with the right three people.

Fifty players. Twelve fourballs. The draw is built from your registration form, not from who arrives first.

Questions people actually ask

Do I get CPD for this?

No. The Golf Day is a networking and relationship day. CPD units are earned on the two conference days, 25 and 26 November. If you want both, the Full Package is R3,000 and saves you R650.

Do I need a handicap?

No. The day is about who you are paired with rather than what you shoot. Eight holes carry a sponsor activation, so there is plenty happening besides the golf.

Who will I be playing with?

CIBA sets the draw from the business matching data on your registration form. No four colleagues from the same firm in one group unless you ask for it, and a mix of member, supplier, potential partner and senior guest wherever we can manage it.

Are clubs provided?

A shared cart, the halfway house and the prizegiving are included. Bring your own clubs, or arrange hire with the club directly before the day.

Can I play padel as well?

Yes. Golf runs 08:30 to 13:00 and the Padel Tournament starts at 14:00, so you can do both. Padel is R800 and booked separately.

Can I send a colleague instead if something comes up?

Yes. Name changes are free up to seven days before the event. Email wwdekock@myciba.org.

Can my firm be invoiced?

Yes. Email jgrimmer@myciba.org with the delegate names and your billing details and we will raise an invoice.

Are you looking for sponsors?

Hole activations, the halfway house, the prize-giving and the three-day sponsor village are all available. Email wwdekock@myciba.org for the rate card.
